Americans have been using cottony toilet paper since 1907, and it's hard to believe in that short time we've made such an impact. Remember – toilets and hygiene weren't too common before the 1900's, and many cultures used their hands, or wet cloths to remove waste. Weird when you think about it, since we are so used to purchasing, using, and throwing out toilet paper without a backward glance.
When it comes to bathroom tissue, saving our planet probably isn't the first thing on our minds; after a long lunch at the office the last thing you think about when you head to the bathroom is "I wonder if the bathroom tissue is recycled..." right? The thing is, the average person uses up to fifty pounds of toilet tissue in a year, and if you compare that by the billions of people on this planet well, that's a lot of waste. Literally.
Spending the extra buck on 100% recycled bathroom tissue, that's free of the chemicals, and dyes that regular brands use seems like a wise choice doesn't it? Especially when many companies are making that move towards more eco-friendly bathroom tissue, that the average Joe can buy. You can use this recycled tissue if you have a septic system, and it's compatible with literally any toilet system, so there's no excuse.
