Bottled water – at some point everyone's sipped from a nice cold plastic Poland Spring bottle with little remorse, as long as their thirst was quenched. After all, we are a country that thrives on convince, aren't we? Many of us have bought bottled water in bulk – 24 packs, 48 packs, and so on and we don't think about the waste that's piling up in our landfills from these bottles of water. Bottled water is one of the most popular purchases made by Americans – beating out soda, juice, teas and coffees. Pretty insane considering if you go to your faucet and out comes....WATER!
If you want to make a change in your lifestyle, buy a water filter. Many times the water you are convinced is so fresh, is just as good as your faucet water. If you're considered with fluoride, and other chemicals used to treat your cities public water supply, the one time purchase of a filter that can attach to your sink will deliver refreshing, chemical free water to your home. If you're on the go, and want to stay hydrated purchase a reusable water bottle. These will last forever, are able to be washed by hand, or in your dishwasher, and won't break or rust with time. The biggest catch? You'll be making a HUGE impact on not only the planet, but your wallet! Wasting money on bottled water is just that, a waste. You can use your water bottle for anything – iced tea in the summer, hot coffee in the winter. It's one of the most versatile ways you can green your life, and one of the easiest, so what's stopping you?
